About this product
The Extang Solid Fold ALX is a hard tri-fold tonneau cover that combines tough aluminum construction, versatility and easy installation. The ALX (Aluminum eXtra) designation indicates the upgraded aircraft-grade aluminum used in the panel frames.Key Features
- Aircraft-grade aluminum panel frames — stronger and lighter than standard steel
- EZ-Lock clamp system — installs without any tools in under 30 minutes
- Compatible with most truck toolboxes — rare for a hard folding cover
- Weathertight seal system with rubber gaskets on all four sides
- Full bed access when all three panels are folded forward
- Prop rod holds cover open for loading tall cargo
- Drain tube system built into the rail
Toolbox Compatibility
One of the standout features of the Solid Fold ALX is its toolbox-compatible rail design. Most hard folding covers cannot be used alongside a crossover toolbox. The Extang solves this by raising the forward rail section to accommodate standard crossover toolboxes — making it one of the few hard covers that truly combines security with contractor-level utility.Extang Solid Fold ALX Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover: frequently asked questions
