How to choose: Heavy Duty Truck Tool Box
For a work truck, look at the material, the lock and the lid, and at how the box mounts. Heavy duty is a description from the maker, so each product page lists what that means for the model.
- Material. Weather Guard builds with heavy-duty steel or aluminum and an ARMOR TUF powder coat. The Dee Zee Blue Label uses Brite-Tread aluminum with a channel and lid stiffener, and the SwingCase is heavy-duty ABS composite.
- Locks. Weather Guard uses a 1KEY ULTRALOCK push-button lock. The Dee Zee uses a T-handle with a stainless steel key.
- Style. Side-mount, chest, saddle and crossover boxes suit different work. Pick by how you reach your tools.
- Bed length and truck. Boxes are cut for bed widths and rails. Confirm yours before you order.
